Cadet/ Trainee/ Detective Basic (Detective)

This is the very bottom of the totem pole. All new hires start here. Minimum time is rank is 6 months. Training never stops, but in this rank you are equivalent to a helper or rookie. Learn all you can and take assessment tests to level up to the next grade.

Detective First Grade/ Detective First Class (Detective)

This is the first rank in the rank structure. It is achieved after 6 months of service, completion of probationary period, and satisfactory completion of basic trainee rules. Must pass the entry level assessment test with 85% or better to be elegible for the next promotion.

Senior Detective/ Detective 2nd Grade (Corporal)

This is the first rank of independence. This person administers the testing and training for all grades below and takes the lead on 2 person details. Must pass intermediate level assessment for advancement to the next promotion and have at least 1 year of service with the firm.

 Detective 3rd Grade/ Detective Sergeant

(Sergeant)

This is the rank of a shift supervisor. In addition to detective work, this person also handles paperwork for testing, applications, and scheduling for his/her assigned shift. Must have 1 year and 3 months with the firm or 8 months in current grade before being eligible for promotion to the next grade.

Chief Detective/Detective Sergeant First Class

(Chief)

This is the rank of a duty NCO. This person is in charge of the daily assignments and is in charge of customer service concerns for the day. This position is also a shift supervisor. Must have 3 years and 4 months with the firm to be eligible for this grade and also pass an efficiency exam and leadership training course.

Sr. Chief Detective/Detective Master Sergeant (Chief)

This is the rank of a site supervisor. All shift supervisors report to this role. This role is responsible for overseeing the training of staff assigned to the site. Must have 3 years and 8 months of service with the firm and be able to pass an assessment test and conflict resolution training in addition to leadership training course(s).

Master Chief Detective/Detective Sergeant Major

(Chief)

This is the rank of a senior site supervisor. All site supervisors report to this role. This role is responsible for quality assurance of the site and final authority on standard operations procedure. Highest ranking NCO. Must be current in the Comar rules, leadership training, and performs as leadership training instructor at all levels. Must have 4 years in the firn and hold this grade for 2 years before eligible for next promotion.

Chief of Detectives/ Squad Leader

(C.O.D or Chief)

More than 1 detail is a Squad. Squads are in various locations. This role manages vacancies and operations of their squad. All Master Chiefs report to the squad leader. Must have 3 years in the firm, 2 years in previous grade, pass gun safety class, de-escalation class, and administrative assessment 1 exam in addition to other leadership training course(s). 

Detective Lieutenant/Company Commander

(Lieutenant)

More than 1 Squad is a Company. Companies are in various locations. This role manages vacancies and operations of their company. All Squad Leaders report to this role. Must have 3 years in the firm, 3 years management experience, pass gun safety class, de-escalation class, and administrative assessment 2 exam in addition to other leadership training courses. 

Group Commander/ Captain

(Captain)

More than 1 Company is a Group. Groups are in various locations. This role manages vacancies and operations of their group. All company commanders report to this role. Must have 4 years in the firm, 3 years management experience, teach gun safety class de-escalation class, and pass administrative assessment 3 in addition to other leadership training courses. 

General Manager/ Major

(Major)

The GM manages Groups in various cities. Up to 7 cities are handled by 1 GM. This position must have 4 years in the firm, 5 years experience in fleet management or dispatching, and a previous group commander for 4 years. This role administers the exam to group commanders in various cities and reports to the Area Manager.

Area Manager/Lieutenant Colonel

(Colonel)

The AM manages GMs in various cities. The Area Manager is responsible for 1 State and the GMs in charge of the cities report to this role. This Role must have strong sales, marketing, and management skills preferrably in account management. In most cases, this role handles multiple positions such as squad leader and area manager. This role does a lot of travel and recruiting for more accounts and cadets to join the firm.

Regional Manager/Sr. Area Manager/Colonel

(Colonel)

Each state is an area. Multiple areas is a region. The Regional Manager is the highest ranking officer and reports to the Executives of the Firm. This role must also have strong recruiting, sales, marketing, and management skills preferrably in resource management. In some cases this role handles multiple positions such as safety and training manager. This role does a lot of travel, training, and recruitingt for all opportunities on behalf of the firm and is given the respect as an Ambassador or Representative of the Executives of the Firm.

Chief Financial Officer/Superintendent

(CFO) 

The CFO handles the budget managementof the firm and oversees that spending is not waste and that all squads adhere to the finance agreement discussed prior to hire. Responsible for suspending operations of persons in violation of the above agreement up to and including termination.

Chief Operations Officer/Administrator

(COO)

The COO handles the operation of the firm. Maintaining monthly safety reminders and reviews, and ensuring that all field officers are clear about the guidelines and the scope of our operations and procedures. Overstepping boundaries could result in arrest, lawsuits, and/ or de-certification.

Chief Executive Officer/Deputy Commissioner

(CEO)

The CEO handles the operations and decisions of the firm. Deals with creating policy, compliance, and weekly reviews to keep the firm competitive in the field of investigtions. Must have a degree in criminal justice, social work, or business law.

Commissioner

The Commissioner is the highest ranking executive officer. This role is regarded as the spokesperson for the firm or representative of the owner. This role is appointed by the owner or selected in the promotion process. Must have a degree in business administration or experience in the firm equivalent to 8 years.

The Owner/ The Founder/ The President

The Owner has the option to wear a uniform, suit, or outfit without any insignia, but this insignia is reserved for the owner to wear. This role is not necessarily an active investigator, but qualified by the state to own and operate a licensed firm.
